Rolex is a large pony hunter division prospect who is eligible green. He is a luxurious four year old palomino gelding who is sure to win big time at all the prestigious pony shows in North America: Pony Finals, Indoors, Devon– you name it! Rolex is a top contender who is sure to be a triple threat, having not only super form over fences, but also hack-winning movement while being conformationally exquisite.
Not started under saddle until he was a full three years old, Rolex was ridden only 60-90 days under saddle until we turned him out again. By allowing him time to mature, he has an advantage over many green ponies who are pounded over fences at a young age. Rolex has natural flying changes and is extremely level-headed. He canters around a course and behaves at shows as if he’s been doing it for years. He is easily a pony who can be ridden by a talented junior rider and finished under the supervision of a trainer.
He will be available to be seen and tried at Pony Finals this year, and is priced in the mid-five figures. For more information, pictures, and videos, visit Rolex‘s page on our website.

Our imported medium green hunter pony, Miss Money Penny (“Molly”) was awarded the prestigious award of being named the Overall Green Pony Grand Champion at the West Coast Pony Finals (also known as “the Oaks”). She was ridden by the accomplished junior rider, Augusta Iwasaki, and the two shined together the whole week at the Blenheim Show Series.
Molly is a full sibling to our stallion, Monte Carlo, and the future herdsire of all Lorelei Farm.

After five years of searching for the perfect hunter pony stallion to add to our breeding program, we are pleased to announce we have finally found “the one”. Monte Carlo is quite literally a dream come true for our farm, and we couldn’t be more excited to import him this spring from Europe.
Monte’s full sister is the ever-talented medium green hunter pony mare, Miss Money Penny, who we imported some years ago. She has been such an enormous talent, that we knew she would be a huge star in the show ring. Molly has been showing in the Medium Green Pony Hunter division under Anna Tootle, a talented junior rider (who trains under mother, Carri Tootle of The Pony Place).
The purchase of Monte was most unexpected, and because of this, many of our mares have already been covered and confirmed in foal this season. We expect he will only breed a few mares when he arrives later this season for 2017 foals, and his first “full” foal crop will be arriving in 2018. Please feel free to contact us for details on breeding your mare to Monte. Beginning in 2017, he will only be available to select mares for a private treaty.

Congratulations to Emily on her win at the 2015 Upperville Colt and Horse Show with Lorelei Starlet (full sibling to Lorelei Socialite), one of our homebred yearling fillies! Starlet has been under the expert care of Laurie Pitts over the last several months, and was beautifully turned out. On the day of her big when, she was handled by Junior Johnson, one of the top Pony Hunter Breeding handlers in the United States. We are very fortunate Emily has given Starlet such an amazing home, and can’t wait to watch them grow together!

We are proud to offer an incredible small Welsh hunter pony mare for sale, Smoke Tree Black Pearl! She is a coming 7-year-old small smoky black mare, who gave us a sensational filly in 2013, named Lorelei Google Me. Black Pearl is very laid back and easy going, and is occasionally ridden around our farm with only a halter and lead rope (although never formally started under saddle). She is very friendly and calm around children, and will make a fantastic children’s show pony!
Black Pearl is full sibling to both Smoke Tree Poetry in Motion and Smoke Tree Starlet. We had the pleasure of campaigning Poetry in Motion to by the national leader in points for Pony Hunter Breeding Yearlings before he was sold on as a stallion prospect to Silver Creek Farm. He was several times Pony Hunter Breeding Champion as well as a winner on the WPCSA circuit. Her other full sibling, Starlet, placed 2nd on the line at Devon as a youngster and is now a Small Pony Hunter for a top show barn on the east coast.
For more information on Smoke Tree Black Pearl, feel free to call or email us!

We are overjoyed to introduce our latest addition, Mynach Miss Dior, who will be imported from Scotland late in 2013! She is a gorgeous palomino filly foal by the great Royal Welsh Champion Eyarth Beau Geste, and out of Mynach Mimosa (by Moelview Mohawk).
Mynach Miss Dior is full sibling to a 2x National Champion stallion, the 2x Royal Welsh Champion Mynach Miss Prim, and Royal Welsh winner Mynach Mystical.
She comes from an incredible family of Section B Welsh Ponies and it is an honor to be able to purchase her. Our greatest thank you to Tom Best and David Blair of Waxwing Stud for helping make this happen!

*Holyoake Tamzin did not disappoint us on July 19th, when she delivered an absolutely stunning palomino filly! We are over the moon with her newborn, who we have named Lorelei Socialite.
*Holyoake Tamzin, is by the Supreme Champion, Holyoake Fire Sprite, out of a UK Medal winning mare, Millcroft Rosette. Socialite is by a Royal Welsh Champion and two-time US National Champion stallion.
This filly is no exception, with a gorgeous big eye, fantastic hip and shoulder angles, and a perfect teacup muzzle. She is also beautifully marked with a blaze and four white legs! It truly feels like we’ve hit the jackpot!
Needless to say, this filly is a keeper and will be retained for our program. We plan to show her on the line beginning in 2014 on both the Hunter and WPCSA circuits. She’s one that will be hard to miss!

Pony Hunter Breeding at the RMI Spring Forward show was a huge success for our yearling Welsh Pony filly, Sweet Violet! We are proud to announce that she was Champion Best Young Pony under judge John Berkos. She was an absolute super star and took everything in stride, we could not be any prouder of how well everything went.
Violet was imported in-utero and is the only pony sired by the Royal Welsh Winner Millcroft Manchero in all of North America! Her dam, *Hoekhorst Sweet Symphony, was hugely successful in the show ring as well before being imported in 2012, earning herself Multi-Supreme Champions as well as becoming a UK Medal Winner. Violet is turning out to be everything we hoped for and more as a show pony.
Thank you so much Brandon Gibson for handling our filly during the show. Look out for Violet more this show season!

The first Welsh Pony show of the year for us was the Carolina Welsh Spring Show, and it was tons of fun! We took out our two yearlings, Smoke Tree Poetry in Motion (Poet) and Clanfair Sweet Violet (Violet), and we couldn’t have been more proud. The in-hand classes were double judged, so the ponies had two sets of results for this show.
Before the show and after the baths the ponies receive before leaving, we took this photo of our blossoming filly, Violet.
She is becoming more and more beautiful by the day, and is just a pleasure to be around. We are so excited to continue showing her and watch her grow into a beautiful mare one day. Thank you so much to Gretchen Aitken for allowing us the opportunity to purchase this filly even though she was not for sale. Gretchen imported her in-utero after having bred Violet using Lesa Dixon’s stallion, the Royal Welsh Winner Millcroft Manchero.
Poet was entered in the WPCSA Two and under Colts class, where he placed first under Judge Deborah Howell, and second under Judge Randy Bullard. Violet was entered in the WPCSA Two and under Fillies class, where she placed first under BOTH judges! This was Violet’s first show, and she behaved like she had done it a million times before. We could not have been more proud of both of these fabulous yearlings!
We would like to thank the Carolina Welsh Club and everyone involved in putting on this spectacular show! Deborah Branson and Jen Sommer were such a tremendous help, and it was also wonderful to meet the friendly and very helpful exhibitors showing their ponies.
